Greetings and welcome!
It is already getting a little busy around here in anticipation of this weekend’s opening of gun deer season. I ran to get gas and groceries tonight, and town was busy with like minded locals.
We have some interesting weather coming up this weekend. The forecast is for a big storm to track over us bringing quite a bit of snow to MN, and maybe a little to northern WI too.
The story won’t be the first snow as much as it will be with the wind and cold. The forecast has us for winds picking up Friday, and for sustained winds of 15-20 gusting to 30 right through Saturday. It is a pretty fast moving storm so winds should calm a little by Sunday.
The temperatures are expected to drop from the low 60s Thursday and Friday to the Low 30s for late Friday and the weekend. Low temperatures should be around 20, ads with some wind the wind chill will come into play. I usually don’t turn on the heat in the well house until after deer hunting, but if we are only getting up to around freezing for daytime highs, I guess that it is time.
This weekend’s weather looks pretty real as far as model consistency goes. I will submit that it is very common for the forecast to be worse than the weather. In this case it looks like the worst of it will come Friday night into Saturday morning.
The cold weather might be a blessing for freezing the ground. We had a very wet fall and there are a lot of soft and muddy spots when you get off of the road a little.
I will update again ASAP with deer hunter specials and a weather update.
One last item.. Thank you to all that came to my parking lot sale last weekend. Your support and generosity is greatly appreciated!
More to follow soon-

Ray,
Those Flashlights are the best! Just as bright as the Beast Flashlight that I paid $60 for and your flashlights have rechargeable batteries. If anyone is looking for a bright, high quality flashlight for a fraction of the cost anywhere else, buy from Ray! You won’t be disappointed.
I will be picking up a few more to keep in my truck and also give as Christmas Presents.
Thanks again Ray!
