The whitewater on the Peshtigo is going to be really something this weekend and into next week. The rain yesterday was about 1.25″ bringing us to 2.5″ for the week.
Last night a line of storms did the train thing over the Peshtigo watershed and had waves of heavy rain hit it one after the next like train cars following down a track. It started about midnight and is still going at 5am. Right now the radar returns are showing 2-3″ down.
With our wet soil the river should jump pretty good even in the short term. We are already up almost 100cfs since noon Friday.
A rising river is a fun river. It gets pushy and just changes somehow. This one will be rising fast. This will get good.
