Greetings and welcome!

The Marinette County Fair in Wausaukee starts today. Someone on Facebook said that it is Food Pantry Day where you get a discount admission with a canned good.

They will have a great weekend for it. There is a minor chance of rain Friday/Friday night, and after that it looks like clear weather and low 70s for the weekend.

The Friday rain brings a 20% chance, and Friday night it goes up to 30%. The HPC has us bordering the 0.01-0.1″ band, so it does not look like much at the moment. That is easy to discount, but you never know, it could stir up into some thunderstorms, there is a minor chance.

Slug sent an e-mail yesterday letting folks know that they are ok, but they lost a lot of trees, and some were very old. He also sent a link to the Wausaukee.com page where they have a few pictures. In response to a question that came in as a comment, there was little damage in Athelstane west of Morgan Lake, at least that I could see from the road. East of there the damage increases.

About the only new critter sighting to report today was a bobcat or lynx that I spotted along the road the other night. No it wasn’t a house cat unless he was really big and really really lost in the middle of the forest.

News came this morning that my brother Bob finished his Pairs-Brest-Paris 1,230Km bicycle endurance race in France with a time of 84 hours and 40 minutes, well under the 90 hour standard. That includes sleep and stops to ride 763 miles. Congrats on an amazing feat Robert!

Beyond that, not much has changed in the last 48 hours. At that point I will wish you a great weekend and thank you for visiting!
